TrekPod
TrekPod is a lightweight monopod for the weight-conscious backcountry photographer. It attaches to a standard hiking (trekking) pole, providing a stable base to capture the beauty of the outdoors even in low light conditions.
TrekPod is a personal project that was inspired by a backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon where I had to carry out a heavy tripod. Initial prototypes were laser cut from chip board, and the final prototype is waterjet from 6061 aluminum.
